Metaphors have long been a popular technique to demonstrate knowledge of difficult subjects, whether in the verbal form through speech or in the written form through writing. Metaphors create more than one meaning for a word in a sentence, which aids in delivering information indirectly. Metaphors indirectly hinted towards the writer's perspective on supernatural creatures, which is the show's principal theme or plot, and which also hints at the maker's opinion through figuratively discussing supernaturalism in the show. Metaphors are figurative expressions in which a word or phrase is employed to describe or do something that isn't practical.en_US
