Handwriting is combination of nerves and muscles act in which co-ordination of muscle
along with nerves is required. Initially when person starts writing in their childhood,
they either copy the style and model of other person or their teacher but later when they
learnt the way of making letter then their fluency and rhythm form in their writing.
After learning the style of letter formation writing become sub-conscious act and don’t
require focus while writing. But, instead of learning letter formation each time when
you write there will be some difference in your writing and this is because of the co ordination of your muscles and also because of the position, writing instrument etc. And
hence this variation in writing of a person is called natural variation. This natural
variation falls under certain range for every person. When we talk o disguise
handwriting, in this act person try to change their handwriting in order to hide their
identity. Disguise handwriting cannot be perfectly disguised by any one instead of
practice also person not able to disguise their handwriting perfectly as handwriting is
sub-conscious act and whenever person lose its focus they retrieve to their original form
of handwriting.
In this thesis research has been done on disguise handwriting of different occupations
persons. Disguised handwriting samples were collected from ten different occupation
and were analyzed on the basis of nine handwriting characteristic which include speed,
connectivity of letter, pen pause, pen pressure, slant, line quality, dotting of ‘i’, crossing
of ‘t’ and loop of ‘g’ & ‘y’. For statical analysis binomial exact test, Fisher’s exact test,
McNemar test, Cochran test were used.
