Forgery has been practiced for a long time in all countries where writing and papers were used for financial purposes. Forgery is the falsification of authentic writing or the alteration of documents. In this case, forgery can be done on full documents or paper, or only on writing or signatures. However, when we talk about writing, it is a skill that one acquires the course of a person's existence. This is also a neuro-muscular task, so copying one's character is difficult because copying many one's minute details of writing or living of one's own special writing feature takes a lot of practice. Even if we pay close attention to a forged signature, it can be difficult to tell the difference between a genuine one and a fake one. Line quality, pen pressure, pen lifts, speed, letter size, indentation marks, flourishes and embellishments, and natural variations are the characteristics to keep in mind when determining the authenticity of a signature. In this thesis Forged writing and signature of Urdu language has been analyzed, in which five regions i.e., Delhi, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh were considered. Under each region they were divided into two sub categories i.e., Urdu known population (those who are familiar to Urdu language) and Urdu unknown population (those who are not familiar to Urdu language). Forged handwriting of all the five regions in their both categories were analyzed on seven handwriting characteristics i.e., Commencement, Terminal point, Speed, Skill, Size, Pen pressure and Tremors. For statical analysis Chi-square test were used and for plotting graph and testing the value Mathematica software is also used.en_US
