dc.description.abstract | This research study aims to highlight the educational status of Hijra and Transgender population of Delhi, who face multiple form of exclusions and deprived of their basic human rights in almost all sphere of their life. Transgender community is a part of social order and have the same gender, sexual and citizenship rights, as other citizens have in the world. The existence of transgender people is not recent and has been documented throughout history. In fact, there are numerous scripts that demonstrate the existence of the transgender community, most likely because nature needs this class to keep everything in balance. However, unlike now, transgender people were not stigmatized or subjected to social exclusion in ancient India. In other words, changes have been made to the status of transgender people. On the one hand, they are called during childbirth or marriage ceremonies. In exchange for their blessings, they receive money. They are, nonetheless, subject to discrimination. The prevalence of discriminatory treatment has had a significant impact on transgender people's life. They face difficulties enrolling in school programs and looking for jobs. Therefore, it is essential to provide them with equal rights and opportunities as well as decent treatment in order to advance the society and country. The situation of transgender people is improving as a result of laws and policies that have been developed in the modern era. But it is widely acknowledged that transgender and Hijra individuals frequently experience violations of their human rights including: right to personal liberty, dignity, freedom of expression, right to education and empowerment, right against violence, discrimination and exploitation, the right to the highest attainable standard of health, the right to participate in political processes and the right to equality before the law. | en_US |
